Think about how they establish space, privilege certain characters, suggest relationships, and emphasize themes. In addition to shot distances, angles, editing, and camera movement, note details of the narrative, setting, characters, lighting, props, costume, tone, and sound.

Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving)

For the film I had Jayden flap his arms like a bird for the line “watch your profits soar high like a crow”. We had to film the scene with our mixing pot on the last day of production which put us in quite a time crunch for editing but we completed the film anyways.

Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)

We worked with an actor not in our class, in order to do this we had to communicate with another teacher to get him excused to film. Ryley and I sourced the images for the cuts. Additionally, I found some good royalty-free sound effects for the production.

Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)

I brought in the pot we used in the film to “make” the fight milk. I also assisted with positioning and marking where our tripods would go for filming.
